Circular Economy Challenge - Results 2020
We want to share with you the results of the Circular Economy Challenge (CEC) 2020. As you know, we took the final event to a virtual format in which participants shared their videos on the page of the VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship so that other people could vote for them, we also spread the word via our social networks.
Ten of the participants submitted their project videos to the CEC 2020:
Today, we are delighted to announce that 2653 people from 61 countries visited the contest page, of which 1567 cast out their vote. Below you can see a summary of the main figures obtained by the CEC2020:

Circular Economy Challenge - Winner 2020
The owner of the winning project "Altepetl" is Lorena Perez. Her project consists of bringing low-cost, quality wireless internet service and customized online content to inhabitants of Ilamatlán, México for community-building. In the end, with the CEC 2020, we gave visibility and online presence, not only to the winning project but to all the participants (as we know some of them received messages of people interested in their projects). At the VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship, we are committed to supporting social entrepreneurship projects in the creation, expansion, and consolidation of their networks as well as turning ideas into action.
