OBJECTIVE

The Circular Economy focuses on the reuse of materials, where waste is seen as raw material. According to the United Nations, “large social gains can be realized from improving resource circularity in multiple sectors”.

The VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship, together with its partners, wanted to stimulate the creativity of students, entrepreneurs and employees to develop innovative solutions for the circular economy. Working together, they can let their passion take shake within several domains of the Circular Economy.

Below you will see the stages of development of the circular economy challenge, do not miss the grand finale of the challenge!

GRAND
FINALE

COVID19 won´t stop us!

Therefore, we invite you to submit your already accepted circular economy idea to our final event, just follow the steps below!

SEND YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH

Project name (required)

Enter a title for your idea that will appear on the website of the VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship. We recommend a length of 3 words.

One-line Idea summary (required)
Summarize your idea in 10-20 words. This summary will be used to describe your solution on the website of the VUB Chair of Social Entrepreneurship, in introduction to the Chair´s partners, voters, and potentially in the media.

Pitch your idea (required)

In 150 words or less, share the crucial details of your project. Your pitch should answer three questions: 1. What problem are you committed to solving with your idea? 2. What idea are you proposing? 3. How could your idea positively impact (the world, lives, environment) if it was scaled globally?

Film your elevator pitch (required)
Provide a video pitching your idea (maximum 2-minute video) on google drive/one drive, Dropbox or wetrans. You could simply record yourself speaking into the camera of a smartphone, although creativity is always welcome. A video will help our partners, voters, and audience in general understand your idea.

Videos will be uploaded to the VUB-Chair of Social Entrepreneurship website so that the audience can vote online to select the final winner. The more you share your video and invite people to vote for your idea, the more chances you will have to win the Circular Economy Challenge!
